FIMiEx 2025
FIMiEx Innovation Exhibition
The Faculty of Industrial Management Innovation Exhibition (FIMiEx) was first held on 21 December 2019. During its inaugural edition, a total of 36 entries were submitted under two main categories: staff and students. The primary objective of the exhibition was to provide participants with the opportunity to present their research findings and receive constructive feedback from industry experts and academics.
The second edition of FIMiEx, held on 30 September 2021, was organised in collaboration with the Centre for Industry and Community Network (PJIM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA), which was then known as Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). This edition witnessed a significant increase in participation compared to the first, attracting individuals from a wide range of age groups, including primary and secondary school students, students from higher education institutions, as well as staff from various organisations across the country.
The event’s success was further enhanced by sponsorship from UMP’s subsidiaries, namely UMP Ecopest Sdn. Bhd. and UMP Holdings, which contributed to several special award categories. This support contributed to a vibrant and impactful exhibition, helping it to successfully achieve its intended objectives.
The third edition of FIMiEx, held on 6 November 2023 at the Astaka, UMPSA Gambang Campus, featured a variety of activities, including the International Postgraduate Research Colloquium, the Project Management Body of Knowledge Challenge, the Business Case Challenge Competition, and the MonsoonSIM Enterprise Resource Management Competition (MERMC) 2023 Malaysia Finals. These activities attracted even greater participation across multiple levels, including school students, university students, and academic and industry personnel from across the nation.
The involvement of local companies such as UMP Holdings and Roboschool Academy as sponsors for special awards further contributed to the success and festive atmosphere of the exhibition, while also supporting its overarching goals.

The upcoming edition, FIMiEx 2025 , is scheduled to take place on 29 and 30 November 2025, with the theme "Smart Innovation for a Sustainable Future." This theme highlights the importance of intelligent innovation in shaping a sustainable world, aligning with global advancements in green technology and the growing emphasis on environmental sustainability and a resilient economy.
FIMiEx 2025 will be organised in collaboration with SMK Sultanah Hajjah Kalsom as the co-organiser for the Sumo Robot Competition. With broader participation across various levels and stronger collaboration with industry partners, FIMiEx 2025 is expected to serve as an expanded platform for researchers, innovators, and industry players to showcase and apply their research and innovations.
The exhibition will also offer greater opportunities for collaboration between academic institutions, industry stakeholders, and government agencies, ultimately strengthening the development of technology and innovation in Malaysia.
