INTRODUCTION
🌱Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge 2025 is organized by the Faculty of Industrial Management.
🌱The competition focuses on presenting business ideas using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) format.
🌱The guidelines cover the requirements for preparing a BMC poster, a business idea summary, and the format for physical presentations.
WHAT IS YEC?
The Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (YEC) @FIMiEx 2025 is a flagship innovation and entrepreneurship competition organized by the Faculty of Industrial Management (FIM), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA). It is part of the larger FIM Innovation and Exhibition (FIMiEx) series aimed at nurturing creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills among youth and professionals.
Platform for Ideas
YEC provides a platform for students, young entrepreneurs, and professionals to present innovative business ideas using the Business Model Canvas (BMC) or Lean Model Canvas (LMC) framework.

Our goal is to inspire participants to think critically, innovate sustainably, and develop creative solutions to real-world challenges.

REQUIREMENT
Business Idea Summary (Short Description)
Participants are required to prepare a summary of their business idea containing the following information. This summary must be prepared in advance and submitted together with the registration form:
🌱Business Name: Your proposed business name.
🌱Problem Statement: What problem are you trying to solve?
🌱Solution: How does your business solve the problem?
🌱Target Market: Who is your target market?
🌱Competitive Advantage: What makes your business different from competitors?
🌱Market Potential: How large is your potential market?
🌱Business Model: How will your business generate revenue?
Additional Guidelines for the Business Idea Summary:
✏️The summary should not exceed 500 words.
✏️Use clear, concise, and easy-to-understand language.
✏️Focus on the most important and compelling aspects of your business idea.

PRESENTATION
Physical Presentation
✨Participants will present their business ideas in front of a panel of judges.
✨The presentation will last 5 minutes, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
✨Participants may use their BMC poster as a visual aid.
✨The presentation should be clear, engaging, and convincing.
✨Participants need to attend physically on 30th November 2025
Video Presentation (For International participants ONLY)
🌱Participants are required to submit their business idea presentation video one week before the competition date.
🌱The video must not exceed 5 minutes in length.
🌱Participants may use their BMC poster as a visual aid in the video.
🌱The audio and video quality must be clear and professional.
🌱Videos should be uploaded to platforms such as YouTube (unlisted) or Google Drive (MP4 format), and the link must be shared with the organizers.
🌱Videos should be submit by 23rd November 2025.
SCORING CRITERIA
Participants will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
🚀Understanding of BMC (25%): The extent to which participants understand and apply the Business Model Canvas concepts.
🚀Innovation (25%): The level of innovation and creativity in the business idea.
🚀Market Potential (25%): The potential of the business idea to succeed in the market.
🚀Presentation Quality (25%): The clarity, engagement, and persuasiveness of the presentation.
